Philodendron is one of the largest genus of the flowering plants in the Araceae family and the xanadu is native to Brazil. This species is commonly just referred to as Xanadu and is widely used as a landscaping plant due to their low maintenance requirements. The Xanadu has beautiful green lobed leaves that as they grow larger the lobes become more pronounced. A mature leaf can grow to up to 40cm long and 30cm wide. Position your Xanadu in bright indirect sunlight ensuring that it doesn't receive direct hot sun. The Xanadu will survive in low light conditions but may become leggy. Like most indoor houseplants the Xanadu doesn't require a lot of water. In warmer months allow the top layer of soil to dry between waterings. In cooler months you can back off on the water.
