Description
The Gibasis geniculata is native to the Western Hemisphere from Texas and the West Indies to Argentina. The Gibasis geniculata is commonly called Tahitian Bridal Veil or Dotted Bridal Veil Plant. The Bridal Veil is a trailing plant and has slender stems and narrow green leaves with a purple underside and the daintiest white blooms dotted all over the plant. The Tahitian Bridal Veil thrives in warmth and humidity but is best protected from direct sun. The Tahitian Bridal Veil likes moist soil but not saturated as this can cause root rot. They are wonderful as a filler in your garden beneath and between broadleaf companions. They are also an eye-catching plant in a hanging basket particularly once they start to trail over.
